The Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy

The Psychotherapist's role is to listen without judgements in a neutral position to the person. The Psychoanalysis Therapy is a process where we will, together, revisit the roots of your negative experiences and explore the root cause of your complain. We explore the root cause of your feelings, emotions and symptoms, the reasons why you came to therapy in first place. 

For that, we may revisit childhood memories and embrace this inner child if needed. The reason why we move back to the past is because the early experiences shapes one's personality later in life, from looking back you will look forward differently. 

It is like driving a car and checking the mirrors to make a few curves and moves but the objective is to move to the future with a new perspective. I am your co-pilot but I can't drive this car for you. This is your personal and unique journey.

Once you look at these memories of the time when your personality was shaped, you gain consciousness of your true self (how and why you became who you are today). Called "insights".  When that happens you alone will be able to change behaviours and beliefs and make different life choices that repercutes for good. 

I also work with the interpretation of dreams and drawings. The end of a successful therapy, you detach from the psychoanalyst and we end the treatment. 

Expect empathy, to be understood, to be heard, to feel cared for, a tissue to clean your tears if it happens. You can expect emotional and mental support, and warming environment with professionalism and that follows the Psychoanalytical Approach explained above. 

Psychoanalysis is not an immediate solution to problems and the practical outcomes appear over time and for good and come from the decision uniquely of the person in treatment, not from the counsel of the professional. 


Don't expect: Diagnosis, medication, promises, evaluation, quiz, reports of session, certificates of completion, counselling, couching, a course, guided meditation, my own opinion or guidance or anything that goes out of the above the trace above this section.
